At only 30mm long, (1.18 inches) and with the profile of a large sand crab, this chunky morsel matches the hatch, and can be inhaled whole by Barred Surfperch. 

Everybody knows Surf Perch love to nip at the tail of a bait, often tearing off the tail of a traditional 2" Paddletail.  The new Soft Candy Perch Bait by Battlestar Tackle solves that problem. There's is no tail hanging off the back of the bait.

Instead, the hook is positioned near the pin tail to ensure this perfectly symmetrical small soft plastic swims straight through the air and water without spinning, so you get less twisted leaders, and more deep secure hooksets, and more slab-sized Surf-Perch landed on the beach. 

Designed for fishing on a Carolina Rig, for use on West Facing Beaches of California's Central Coast, for jumbo-sized surf perch. Use a medium to medium-fast rate retrieve to encourage a fully committed, deep inhale of the whole bait. Keep your drag set loose and let her rip! 

Available in a variety of deliciously irresistible colors ranging from 'Dark Green Motor Oil Red Flake' to 'Trans Oil Red Flake' capped with an attractive Redhead. Or try the Dark Blurple Silver Flake for contrast, which is often the ticket in murky water.  But when the water is clear and the fish are picky, sometimes the Soft Shell Sand Crab color is the only way to get them to bite. 

Injected and coasted with plenty of Squid Oil Attractant, these baits taste just as good as they look. Perch suck them up whole in a hurry when they get on the trail of one of these babies.
